Rugged Body Design

The new WG-6 is waterproof down to 20m (65ft), shockproof at 2.1m (6ft), freezeproof to -10 Degree C (14F) and crushproof up to 100 kgf (22lb). This makes the body of the WG-6 the toughest of the WG series.

Advanced Camera Performance

The WG-6 has approx. 20 effective megapixels and 5x optical zoom covering 28mm -V 140mm range. The combination of the high-performance lens & back-illuminated CMOS sensor produces a clear image with low-noise and wide dynamic range. An optional wide conversion lens is available. It also features GPS capability.

Multifunctional LED Ring Light

The functionality of the LED Ring Lights surrounding the lens has been enhanced. It is newly equipped with 6 variable brightness LEDs perfect for any user environment. The lights are perfect for food and portrait images. It features LED brightness adjustment, fill light for close-ups, direction (all, left, right, up, bottom), 1 cm super macro mode, and ring light WB mode. The lights are 10x brighter than the WG-60 which can be adjusted in 10 increments.

Improved Operability Even with Gloves

The new WG-6 has a rugged new exterior design and features easy operation in harsh conditions. The new ADJ button permits instant access to often-used camera functions. The settings on ADJ can be easily reassigned to reflect the most used buttons for each individual shooter. The newly equipped dial can switch shooting modes quickly. Raised contours of the four-way controller make buttons easy to press, even when wearing gloves. The camera allows you to do date imprinting, and copyright printing. The screen can be easily adjusted to see widely varying light levels by adjusting brightness.

Suitable for Business and Industrial Uses

The WG-6 contains various functions that are shared with the Ricoh - "G Series" camera, for industrial use. The camera has a chemical resistance so you can use ethanol disinfection, sodium hypochlorite disinfection and chloride dioxide. The camera is perfect for use at construction sites and extends its durability standards further to meet professional needs.

Advanced Video Capture

The WG-6 shoots high quality 4k videos at 30fps. The underwater video is optimized for subsurface colors. The WG-6 contains an Electronic Gimbal (Movie SR+). Compared to a conventional electronic shake reduction mechanism, Movie SR is natural, less distorted, and strongly reduces shake by actively clipping the frame, not only the shooting range. Conventional Movie SR or new Movie SR + may be selected, depending on the subject.

High Accuracy GPS

The WG-6 features a high accuracy GPS system. The latest upgrade can collect more accurate location information. It corresponds to the latest satellite navigation augmentation system (SBAS). By Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) you have quick activation: Approx. 1 min. (from shut-down), approx. 3 sec.(from standby). It also has an allocated GPS button on the four-way controller and is able to record location information in the images by GPS memory function.
